A Ton of Catching Up to Do!!!

I'll work from the present backward. Mike and I have a son, Owen, who is about to be 8 months old on the 27th. He is the happiest baby and is so quick to smile. He is everything we hoped for and then some. So excited about this journey we are on with him.

Owen is just a couple of weeks old in this picture. We had a wonderful natural birth experience and he was a healthy baby from day one weighing 8lbs9ozs and 20 1/2 in. long.

My pregnancy was a lot of fun, but I'm not the type of girl that you'll ever hear say, "I miss being pregnant."

Mike turned 30...

and I turned 30... since my last post. And we are actually turning 32 this summer!! Yikes!!! That's the extreme abridged version of the last couple of years. Hopefully I'll post more frequently. Still trying to catch on to the hype of blogging.

Mike and I attended the Hearts of Gold Tahlequah City Hospital Gala last night. There was an amazing band out of Dallas Texas called Emerald City that played and I would say just about everyone was on the dance floor they were so good. We danced the night away. This is my third time to go to the gala. I just love getting dressed up once in a while. It's like my adult prom...

We went to Kauai, Hawaii for our honeymoon. Amazing to say the least....
Another photo from our wedding...
I'm new to the blog scene, so I have some catching up to do. I married Mike Skinner on June 14, 2008. He is the Vice President of Tahlequah and Pryor Lumber Companies and I teach 8th grade Literature. Mike is on the board of directors for Help In Crisis, a local safe place for women battling domestic violence. I volunteer with our church video ministery. Our first 6 months have been pretty exciting. It seems like there has been at least one major event each month that has passed. We had the wedding in June, his high school reunion in July, I graduated OCS in August and had my high school reunion. In September we became Aunt Angie and Uncle Mike. Mike's sister Lisa had a baby girl named Avry. November is the exception, but December picked back up and my brother PJ got engaged. Then this month PJ and his fiance Melissa became foster parents to a 4-month-old baby girl! I tell you it's hard to keep up around here.
